Beverly M. Dicus, 77, of Benson, AZ (formally of Mt. Carmel, IL) passed away on April 15th, 2024, at home with her daughter, Stephanie, and granddaughter, Rachelle by her side. She was born on December 30th, 1946, to the Late Rosemary (Jim) Allison and Lester Marlin Moore in Mt. Carmel, IL. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for 58 years and was passionate about helping the residents she cared for. The thing she loved most in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Dicus (Benson, AZ), her sisters Cordia (David) Hunt, Jeannie Mendenhall (Evansville, IN), and Gail George (Princeton, IN). Her children Tawana Dardeen (Mt. Carmel, IL), Stephanie Sherman (Benson, AZ), Jon Carmickle (Fort Smith, AR) and her 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Lester Allen Carmickle Jr., sister Rita Cargill, her brother-in-law Daryl George and her first husband Lester Allen Carmickle Sr.

She will be remembered as the strong and compassionate woman she was. Rest in peace Grandmother.
