Nancy Huey, 82, of Benson passed in the presence of family on May 24, 2019. Nancy was born in Willcox, Ariz., grew up in Patagonia, Ariz. and moved to Benson in 1966 and lived there until her death.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son Michael and her remains will be laid next to him at Cochise Gardens of Rest. Nancy is survived by her children Nina (Robert) Van, Gary (Kim) Henry, Kevin (Carol) Henry, Tim (Ron) Huey, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her brother John Duncan.
Nancy was active in her support of Boys Scouts troop 413 helping all four of her boys achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Nancy was also instrumental in many more young men achieving that honor including her nephew David Duncan. Nancy was a charter member of the Benson chapter of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3593. Nancy held every office within the order including Auxiliary President and Auxiliary Madam State President. As Madam State President Nancy raised funds for Banner Diamond Children’s Hospital in Tucson. She was very proud and touched by how much great work they do at the hospital, so in Lieu of flowers please donate to Banner Diamond Children’s Hospital.
Services will be held at Community Presbyterian Church, 590 S. Huachuca St., Benson on Saturday, July 27, 10 a.m.
