Travis Gregory Shumaker passed away on July 24, 2025, in Parker, ID. He was born on October 3, 1986, in Tucson, AZ to his loving parents Gregory and Amy Shumaker. He was raised in Saint David, AZ along with his three older siblings. Travis was dearly loved by his family and community.
Travis was an accomplished pianist and had a beautiful singing voice. He received his Eagle Scout award through the Boy Scouts of America. Travis served a two-year mission in Baltimore, Maryland for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a deep love of nature. He especially loved the ocean, fall leaves, and watching the sunrise.
Travis attended Eastern Arizona College where he received his nursing degree. He graduated from the University of Arizona, completing a master's degree in nursing education. Travis was employed as a registered nurse over the course of the past 13 years. He worked in acute care at Sierra Vista Regional Hospital, the infusion center at the VA, and as a nursing instructor at Pima Medical Institute.
Travis is survived by his parents Gregory and Amy Shumaker; four children Jane, Ella, Peter, and Samuel Shumaker; siblings Trevor Shumaker (Jana), Kara Merrell (David), and Kimberly Roberts (Jeffrey).
Travis was a fun, attentive, and loving father. He brightened the lives of everyone he met and will be greatly missed. Condolences to the Shumaker family August 2, 2025, at 9:00 am. The funeral services held in his memory on August 2, 2025, at 10:00 am at the LDS Chapel in Saint David, AZ.
