Theo Clark Lofgreen was born in Pomerene, Arizona on May 9, 1948, but was raised in St. David. His mother was Dyantha Barney Lofgreen and his father was Edward Theodore Lofgreen. Theo was the youngest child of his parents. He had five older brothers and sisters and 11 older half brothers and sisters. He was born with spinal bifida and was paralyzed from the waist down his entire life; after the surgeons in Tucson, shortly after his birth, cut his spinal cord because they didn't know what they were doing. He had a hard life. Other than lots of love, the family was unable to provide some of the care and benefits that someone in his condition might have received if they had money. The Shriners and Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake provided various surgeries in his early childhood.
After high school Theo moved to Phoenix where he attended Phoenix College; had various jobs and got married. He and his wife, Diane were able to use the inheritance he received when his mother died and bought a new house in south Phoenix. He and Diane adopted a baby boy they named Jimmy. After some years of marriage, there were problems; the marriage fell apart Because of some of the problems, Theo was sent to prison. He has spent the last part of his life in prison.
He died on September 14th while in prison in Tucson, AZ. He will be buried in the St David cemetery.
