Ronald Michael Dickerson, 74, Left us to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, October 16, 2020 at his home in Benson, Arizona.
Ron was born in Pennsylvania and moved very early in his life to Westmorland, California where he was raised with his 4 siblings. He graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1964. His time spent with his dad at the Dickerson Chevron station and working with his uncle around tow trucks led him to a career in trucking, eventually becoming the owner of Antelope Valley Freight Lines.
Ron married Kathy in 1981 and after raising their boys, spent their free time sailing and camping. After retirement, Ron and Kathy traveled in a 5th wheel, served the Lord through the "Loft Home Project" with Desert Winds Church and through the S.O.W.E.R.S. Christian organization.
Ron had the heart of a servant, a quick sense of humor, accepting of everyone and was loved by all who crossed his path. He always had an encouraging word, always offered a helping had, and lived his life with humility and love. He truly will be missed nay all but especially those close family members who remain.
In his passing, he joins his mother and father, Marion and Howard, and stepbrother, Dave. He is survived by his wife Kathy, sons Gary (Cindi) and Steve and his siblings Lonnie, Leroy, Mark, and Ross as well as 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Service will be held at Desert Winds Community Church 38117 13th Street East, Palmdale, CA on November 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
