Ralph E. Roderick Jr., 77 of "Anywhere We Park It, USA," went to heaven on January 20, 2024after a short illness from AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). He and his sweetheart, Angela Klinger, were full-time RV-er's for 18 years and just finished a 10,000-mile RV trip around the U.S. visiting a few dozen friends and relatives.
Ralph was born on June 8, 1946, in Frederick, MD to Ralp and Mary Roderick. He graduated from Linganore High School in 1964 and married his high school sweetheart Betty Jean. They had 2 lovely girls Loretta and Connie. He was a dairy farmer during the marriage.
His second marriage to Peggy ended in divorce.
He met his sweetheart Angela Klinger in 1990 and together they enjoyed farm life and riding horses with their many friends. In 2006 they sold their farm and hit the road for the full-timing life in their RV. They traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada making many lifelong friends along the way.
Angela stayed by his side 24/7 at Banner University Hospital in Tucson, AZ. Helping the nurses with his care and played Ralph's old time cowboy ballads and music that he loved so much.
Ralph was very involved in the sport of "Cowboy Action Shooting" and was a member of SASS (Single Action Shooting Society). He competed for 27 years all over the country. He loved and lived the "Cowboy Way."
Ralph was a "Jack of all Trades." He was a dairy farmer, plumber, over the road trucker, contractor, did custom mowing, put farm machinery together for Gladhill Tractor in Frederick, MD., he was a ranch hand in Tombstone, AZ. at our friends' ranch, and he was truly the love on Angela's life.
He leaves behind his sweetheart of 34 years, Angela and their loving cat Wyatt, his two lovely daughters, Loretta (Walter) Norwood, Connie (Donald) Keeney, 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brothers Robert, Gary and sister Lenora.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralp and Mary Roderick, brothers Jim and Wayne and his beloved cat cowboy.
