Martha Fenn Obituary

Martha Lou Fenn, 88, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026.  Martha was born on December 6, 1937, to the late Charles Harmon and Mossie Guffey in Warrensburg, Illinois.  Martha was raised by her sister and brother in-laws, Ora Pearl Maurer, Ed Walston & later Ed Maurer in Decatur, Illinois.  She graduated from Decatur High School and then worked at the Laundry in Decatur to support herself.  Martha loved music and enjoyed attending concerts and getting signed autographs from all of the Grand Ole Opry stars that would come through Decatur, Illinois.  Martha was a huge fan of Elvis music and movies.  

Martha Lou Harmon married Evan Fenn on May 2, 1964, in Lordsburg, NM.  They spent 44 years of married life in Saint David, Arizona on a modest ranch with a pistachio orchard and raised 3 children.  Martha enjoyed baking pies and cooking Sunday pot roasts. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Evan Fenn, and brothers and sisters, Charles Harmon, Robert Harmon, Velma Stephens, Anna Logue, Howard Harmon, Ora Maurer, Audie Jones and Lee Lowe.

Martha is survived by her three children, Evan (Margy) Fenn, Marty (Melissa) Fenn, and Ora (David) Hearn, five grandchildren, Jacob Fenn & Luke Fenn, Barbara Fenn and Carson Hearn & Tyler Hearn, two brothers, Gene (Alice) Harmon & Dick (Sondra) Harmon and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Martha was a 15-year resident of Gardnerville, Nevada where she was active with the Douglas County Senior Center Monday through Friday.  She was known for wearing colorful hats, enjoying lunch and playing bingo.  Martha will be greatly missed by her family, neighbors and friends. 

A graveside service will be held at the Saint David Cemetery in Saint David, AZ on January 24, 2026, at 2:00PM.
