Lester J. Price passed away in his home of 49 years on June 23, 2024. He was born on March 16, 1936 in Holland, Michigan to Charles Price and Elizabeth (White) Price. Lester is predeceased by his wife Dee and son Lee. He and his beloved wife celebrated 55 wonderful years of marriage before she passed away in 2010. As a young man he enlisted in the Marine Corps and after 3 years he re enlisted and went on to serve 19 years in the United States Army. Lester retired as an E7 Sergeant First Class and served in the Korean War and did two tours in Vietnam as an aircraft mechanic. He was very proud to have served our great country. He enjoyed stargazing with his daughter, watching his great grand babies play in his backyard while filling them up with popsicles, and if he wasn’t at the casino he could be found doing yard work or working on his house. Lester is survived by his children, Sheila Bannister of Benson, Tim (Edie) Price of Tucson, Josh Price of Benson, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A service will be held at Southern Arizona Memorial Cemetery at 10 am, 1300 S Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, 85635. All are welcome. He and his wife will be placed together in a niche as it was their wish be reunited in their place of rest.
