Joe Allyn Smith was born on November 14, 1931, and passed away on June 5, 2024. A friend to all whom he encountered with a good morning and a smile. He was a quiet man of simple joys leaving behind a void in the hearts of all who he knew and loved him. His greatest love in his life besides family and friends was the railroad. He retired from the railroad many years ago. Whenever you hear the train whistle please send a prayer his way. His favorite places to visit were old mining towns as well as ghost towns with his closest friend Ralph Parra and old Bisbee miner himself. Joe touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. His first question that he would ask everyone he encountered was, "do you think it is going to rain today?". He has been showered with many people in his lifetime who truly loved and cared about him. Thank you, Joe, for the difference that you made in our lives and for the inspiration you were. Walking every day to Wendy's to visit your friends and watch the trains go by. May you rest in peace and may Saint Michael the Angel accompany you in heaven.
