James Alexander Olivas was born on May 27, 1982, in Bellflower California to Ernest Olivas and Deona Olivas of Los Angeles California. He grew up in Baldwin Park Ca, attended Bursh elementary along with his 4 Siblings. He later moved to St Louis and attended Pruit Military Academy where he became fluent in multiple languages and the military way of life. James became appreciative of the arts, music, and God during his formidable years in Missouri. James went on to complete his primary education in Midlothian Tx where his love and passion for music and art was expressed in his part time endeavor of disc jockeying and exploration of the fine arts. James was a painter, and creator often times sharing his work with others. James made an enormous impression on those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He was a loving caregiver, having assisted raising his nephews, Nathan, and Noah Coffey, whom he deeply considered his own sons. It would be several years in the making that he would venture to Arizona where he would call Benson home during his final days. James is survived by his parents, Ernest Olivas, Deona Olivas, his three siblings, Richard Buelna, Micheal Coffey, and Ernest Olivas III, his Nephews Nathan Coffey and Noah Coffey.
James was full of life, smiles, and his raspy “what it do in the loue” sense of humor that inspired and intrigued all he touched. His humble demeanor brought joy, and peace to any room that he occupied. He will be greatly missed, the lessons he passed on will never be forgotten. James lived his dash. May 27, 1982-April 26, 2026.
