Helen Anita Alward

1957 - 2021

Benson, Arizona

Helen A. Alward, age 64 of Benson (formally of St. Louis Michigan), passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at her home.  Helen was born in Carson City, Michigan to Donald and Jeane Alward on January 11, 1957 and was one of seven children. Helen is survived by her son, Brice (Amanda) Alward of Sumner, Michigan, 5 grandchildren; Braedyn, Alexander, Jasmine, Orion and Elliott; 4 siblings; Ron (Julie) Alward, Beverley (Charlie) Smith, Barbara Frederick, and David Alward. She had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; Donald and Jeane Alward her brother Arthur Alward and her foster brother Fred Lonergan.

There will be a private family service held at a later date in Michigan.

I am so sorry to hear this, definitely a main fixture at the roller rink.  Many happy memories of years growing up with her at the rink.  God Bless all.

Helen and I were very close for quite a while. Partners in crime in the seventh grade for sure. We were at the skating rink all the time and when we weren’t here, we rode horses together. We were in her dads words trouble times two and I think we partly were responsible for his gray hair/hair loss. Ha
I loved her dearly and I am sad we lost touch and I am so sorry for the family and your loss. Prayers for your hurting hearts and lots of love!

I met Helen as I was cleaning out the cows stalks. Yes, she came as as difficult but once you got pass that she had a beautiful laugh and a attactive smile. Helen was a great friend if you were honest with her.
To her family, I pray that God well comfort and hold up the family. I well truly miss her, but I have the memories.
