Obituary The passing of:
George L. White
Father, Journeyman lineman, keeper of all that is family. George was born February 17, 1930. The only child of miners and ranchers in the Bisbee Arizona area. George was a 6th generation
Arizonan who graduated High School in the 1940s from Tombstone High School where he lettered in all major sports. He then entered the United States Navy and served during the Korea conflict. In starting his life after military service in Casa Grande Arizona as a lineman for Arizona Public Service (36 years) and marrying Marlene Beverly Gomez raising 2 sons, George and Richard.
As a dedicated father, He helped the community by voluntarily maintaining the lights and fields for the Little Leagues and was involved in some of the agricultural activities at the local high school.
Upon retirement from APS he went to work for TP construction (20 years) as a coordinating supervisor of on-site job activities. After retiring from TP construction, he resided in Yuma Az where he
met Louise Stafford whom they cared for each other in his final years. George was preceded in death by Marlene his wife of 42 years and is survived by his 2 sons George Jr of St David AZ and Richard B of Casa Grande AZ Seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Rest in Peace server of country and community and beloved father.
