Dora Rae Teague

Dora Rae Teague (DJ) died unexpectedly in her home on July 31, 2019 in Benson, Arizona at the age of 57.

DJ is survived by her Son Aaron (Joshua) Delapp-Teague of Phoenix; daughter Ashley Teague of Snowflake; grandchildren Kaysin and Karver Teague of Snowflake; ex-husband Jimmy Teague of Snowflake; siblings Debra Burton Lenz of Nevada; Vicky Westbrook of Michigan; Steven Vogelsong of Michigan; and Sister-in-law Lupe Vogelsong of Saint David.

She is preceded in death by her mother Leona Shelton; fathers’ Gerald Vogelsong and Blackie Shelton; brother Roger Vogelsong; and brother-in-law Brian Burton.

DJ was born on April 27, 1962 in Muskegon, Mich., to Leona and Gerald Vogelsong. She graduated from Northern Pioneer College with an Associate’s Degree. She married Jimmy Teague in 1988.

DJ is a Past Madam President of the Benson Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #3593.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Aug. 10, 2019 at 2 p.m., at 761 E 4th St., Benson, AZ 85602. All are welcome to attend and celebrate DJ’s life. In lieu of flowers, DJ would be grateful for any donations gifted to the BMC University of Arizona Cardiopulmonary Research Center in her honor.
