Donald Rush Obituary

Mr. Donald Keith Rush, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on March 4, 1937, in Springfield, Ohio. Donald spent much of his life in Benson, Arizona, where he touched many lives with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Donald later worked at Hughes Aircraft, where his dedication and service were evident in everything he did. Above all, Donald's love for the Lord was central to his life. His faith guided him through every challenge and triumph, and he was a constant source of strength and inspiration to all who knew him. His deep belief in God was reflected in his kindness, his generosity, and his devotion to his family.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Arlene Rush; son Bryon (Emelda) Rush; four grandchildren: Stephanie (Gregory "Roper") McDuffy, Meghann (Isaiah) Carrillo, Nathan "Ryan" Beeler, and Benjamin (Preslee) Rush; as well as 14 great-grandchildren: Madison, Cailin, Kendall, Ava, Logan, Stella, Blayke, William, Camryn, Solomon, Theodore, Ivor, Brady, and Khalila.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Rush; his father and mother, Max and Thelma Rush; his brother, Tom Rush; and his in-laws, Gene and Ruth Holcomb.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at New Life Family in Pomerene, Arizona. In this time of loss, we remember the love, laughter, and faith that Donald brought into the world. His memory and the example of his deep love for the Lord will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
