Carl Was born September 28, 1934 in Benson, Arizona to Carl Wayne Ewing of Texas and Leslie Grace Ewing of Benson, Arizona.
Carl Married Sandra Oakley of St Louis, MO, March 6, 1971 in St Louis, MO.
He had three brothers, Otis Ewing of Redlands, CA, deceased; Lynn Ewing of Maynard, Arkansas, Deceased; and Donald Ewing of Pacific, MO.
Carl leaves behind his wife Sandra of 50 years. Four children Jeanie Ewing of Springfield, MO; Dennis Ewing of Springfield, MO; Debra Farmer of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; and Carla Ewing of St Peters, MO; and 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren
Carl’s family moved away from Benson in 1939. He lived in several different states and moved back to Benson permanently in March of 2017. Carl served the military in 1955 and 1956. He enjoyed several sports and activities: playing basketball in high school, water skiing, hunting and fishing, camping, traveling, horseback riding, motorcycle riding, hiking, playing the guitar and harmonica. Of all the things Carl enjoyed doing, his passion was always, working in bus ministries in various churches.
For almost 30 years Carl drove Sunday school buses, did maintenance work and moved buses from church to church to get children to church to learn about God. After retirement he worked in several different states working to keep buses running. A large part of that time was spent on the Navajo Reservation.
Carl Passed away at the Benson Hospital on August 6, 2021.
