Betty Lou Hill, 86, of Benson, Arizona, died peacefully at home on March 19, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends. Born April 26, 1939, in Carroll County, Indiana, to Robert and Beulah (Michael) Cates.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Jerry Wayne Hill.
Betty loved having the ability to show love and care for those around her. She was very involved with her church, family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandma who always looked for opportunities to get together for reunions or family outings. Anyone who knows Betty, remembers her sweet smile, her willingness to lend a helping hand and how she strived to be a peacemaker. She lived a full and healthy life, taking care of herself and others, never expecting anything in return. Some refer to her as Saint Betty for all of the generosity and grace she has bestowed upon others.
She is survived by her two sons, Troy (Janet), and Brad (Lupita), grandchildren Rachel (Daniel) and Nathan (Aysia); five great grandchildren that she adored very much.
Betty’s desire is to be buried alongside her late husband Jerry Wayne Hill. Services will take place at Richardson’s Remembrance Center in Benson, AZ on March 25, 2026, at 9am, followed by a reception for family and friends.
