Berta Coleen Hancock Williams, age 90 entered life eternal on July 23, 2021 in her home at St. David, Arizona. She was born to Burt & Gladys (Taylor) Hancock on March 10, 1931 in Pima, Arizona. She had three siblings; Donald, Sharon & Kelsey.
In her early years, she went to Pima High School & in 1948 married Gaylon Ray Williams in Lordsburg, NM. They were sealed in the Mesa Temple March 11, 1959.
Berta & Gaylon had four children, Gale, Coleen, Randall & Russell. Berta has been a strong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life, serving as Young Women’s President for 13 years, YW teacher, Relief Society, Activities chairman, Primary, as well as providing many acts of service for others.
She & Gaylon (Willy) served an LDS mission to Nauvoo, Illinois for a year & a six month mission to Martin’s Cove, Wyoming.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Gaylon Williams; her children, Gale Howard (Larry), Coleen Saunders (Read) & Russell Williams; her siblings Don Hancock (Shirley-deceased), Sharon Marble (Ray-deceased) and Kelsey Kouts (Dennis) and 9 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren & 9 great great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her son, Randall, parents, Bert & Gladys Hancock, two grandsons, a great granddaughter and a great grandson.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 640 W. Patton St., St. David, Arizona. A viewing will be held prior at 9:00 a.m.
