Evelyn S. Garrobo

Evelyn S. Garrobo, 83, of Benson, Arizona, passed away to a better life on June 17, 2019. She was born in Benson to parents Merijildo and Josefa (Martinez) Sandoval. Evelyn is survived by husband Tony of 64 years; sons George (Rita), Michael, and Andrew (Melodie) Garrobo; brother John Sandoval and sister Ernestina Ruiz; granddaughters Alexis (Josh) McCann and Michaela Garrobo.

She is preceded in death by her son Antonio Jr., brothers Adolf, Felipe, Pete, Ernest, sisters Mary, Helen, and Roseanne.

Evelyn will be greatly missed by many friends and family members for her kindness, hospitality and conversations. She loved reading, watching the night sky and was very strong in her faith. She loved Bobcats sports, and encouraged education for all, particularly young women.

A special thank you to Richardson’s Remembrance Center and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 22, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial was at High Street Cemetery
